Myford 3 1/2 in. screw-cutting lathe.
This lathe has been designed and produced to fill the need of a rayher sturdier machine than the averige 3-in. lathe.
It has a detacheble headstock, phosphor bronze bushes and a shrouded ball-thrust bearing for the mandrel.
The slide rest is fully compound, and a rack-and pinion feed is provided to the apron an saddle.
Length between centres, 24 in.; swing over saddle 5 1/2 in.; mandrel, 1 in. diameter, screwed 7/8 in. Whithworth and bored for # 1 Morse taper.
The headscrew is 5/8 in. diameter; screwed 8 threads per inch.
Lenght over all, 39 in.
