Unknown Lathe matakohi
Found this big treadle lathe in the Matakohi Kauri museum in matakohi New Zealand.
The head and tail stock looked like they where not hand made but brought into New Zealand in 1862 by John Wharfe who settled in Mangawhai.
The tool rest and crank i am not so sure if they where hand made or party made by a black smith here?
My camera malfunctioned and had to take this one with a ipod touch, the quality is only good for smaller pictures.
Interesting old lathe.
