Drummond M-Type Lathe

DRUMMOND M-Type lathe 3.5" x 16" gap-bed, backgeared and screwcutting. Unusual in being mounted on the maker's cast-iron stand complete with treadle gear and flywheel assembly. There is very little wear or backlash, everything works and the lathe turns accurately and parallel. The very long-term owner has moved to sheltered accommodation. Fitted with: 4-inch Burnerd 4-jaw chuck (in excellent condition); a 4-inch 3-jaw chuck; faceplate; catchplate; tailstock drill chuck, a full set of screwcutting changewheels (plus a couple of extras) and a reprint of the relevant maker's literature.
