Antique Treadle-powered IXL Lathe
Antique IXL 5.25" x 24" backgeared and screwcutting lathe with gap bed. Complete and original on the maker's treadle stand with flywheel drive and a deep chip tray. This lathe has a particularly useful specification with tumble reverse, decent-sized micrometer dials, a long-travel cross slide with T-slots, a height-adjustable "Norman patent" toolholder and a graduated handle (Myford) on the leadscrew. 3-jaw chuck, an excellent 6-inch Burnerd half-depth body 4-jaw chuck and combined catchplate/faceplate. Everything works smoothly with all slides well adjusted.
