William Gill of Leeds, 1857.
Made several ornamental Lathes , estimated between 35 to 40, and there are only four in existing to date.
From advertising it is discovered that he made complete tool chests for amateurs and gentleman and maybe that he manufactured steam rollers.
It is possible that holtzapffel made parts for other OT lathe manufacturers, it was discovered that a part of his lathe had very tiny Holtzapffel stamp on it.

Lathe is standing in his museum.

I have had contact with one more owner of a Gill lathe and will place pictures later.
