Evans Lathe pictures

 

Ornamental turning lathe made by John Evans.

This lathe was bought in 1903 secondhand.

Double mahogany frame with 3 fitted drawers.
30 " in between centres with cast iron bed.
Standard overhead crane and pulleys.
The treadle and flywheel are missing.

Above is lathe No.1160.

Very nice head stock.

This is a goniostat, this is for sharpening the cutters used on the ornamental turning lathe.
